Why we built Maros.

Provenance research is slow, fragmented, and often incomplete.

Documents are scattered across archives, catalogues raisonnés, museums, and private collections. Verifying an artwork's history can take days — sometimes weeks.

Collectors, galleries, and institutions deserve better tools. They need to make confident decisions about acquisitions, sales, and loans. They need to protect themselves from risk.

Maros changes that.

We built an engine that reads documents, reconstructs provenance, and highlights risks automatically. What used to take weeks now takes minutes.

Our extraction engine achieves 90%+ accuracy on provenance data, with near-perfect accuracy on critical fields like artist, title, and chain order. When you see "Maros verified" on a provenance timeline, you know the data has been extracted, cross-referenced, and validated to research-grade standards.

Our mission is simple:

Make provenance transparent, accessible, and verifiable for everyone.

Our Vision

Maros is building the provenance intelligence layer for the global art market — a unified engine that reconstructs, verifies, and protects the history of every artwork.

For collectors, galleries, and institutions worldwide.
